About the Song

This song was written by climate activists in Belgium in 2012. Hundreds of thousands of people sang it in Belgium that year. It has since been sung at hundreds of locations around the world.

You sing it to the tune of the Italian resistance song "Bella Ciao". (English lyrics to that song can be found on pg. 213 in the "Struggle" chapter of Rise Up Singing.)

The second video below was created by a small startup company in Europe that creates an app to help combine photo images. They are working to support climate action.
