Gold (b. 1955) is an American singer songwriter, based in the Philadelphia area.
Nanci Griffith, the first to record Gold's Grammy-winning song "From a Distance", has also recorded other of her songs including "Heaven", "Southbound Train", "Good Night New York" and "Mountain of Sorrow".
