This Hudson Valley-based band consists of 5 musicians. Four of the band (Betty Boomer, Jean Valla McAvoy, Paul Rubeo & Steve Stanne) have been performing together for over 40 years and put out 6 albums. They have been joined more recently by bassist Robert Bard more recently.
They were closely associated with fellow Hudson Valley resident Pete Seeger during his life and worked with the Sloop Clearwater. Their music includes original compositions by McAvoy along with covers of many well-known songs with distinctive "boomerized" arrangements. Their four part harmonies are rich and powerful.
