Folkworks is a cultural nonprofit based in northern England. It runs workshops, summer schools & festivals to promote & encourage the furtherance of folk music. It was begun in 1988 by Alistair Anderson of the High Level Ranters & Ros Rigby. It became part of the North Music Trust and The Sage Gateshead in 2002.
