PMN Summer Gathering (June 2017)

This is a terrific opportunity to get together with other musicians and music-lovers who share our own enthusiasm for changing the world through the medium of song. The artist-in-residence at this gathering is the powerful singer & cultural worker Jane Sapp. You an find the full schedule at PeoplesMusic.org.

We are leading a workshop with Sarah Pirtle from 2:15-3:35 on Saturday in the camp's Paul Robeson Theater called "Help Us Rise: Carrying on the Work & Songs of Pete & Toshi: How are we carrying forward Pete & Toshi’s vision and work? We’ll swap songs by Pete, share ones he liked, or ones that inspire us to continue their work. We'll also make time to share stories, and talk about projects that we’re working on as we further the broad commitments of Pete & Toshi."  Sarah & Peter led a similar workshop at last June's gathering and it was a wonderful chance to share memories, stories, songs and inspiration with others who were touched by the Seegers' lives and work!

PMN's summer gathering went to this camp for the first time last summer. It was not only an extremely beautiful location in the Berkshires, but was a great location because it has a strong progressive poltical history as a camp with wonderful murals through out the camp of heroes of peace & justice struggles.
