Rise Again - Philadelphia
This sing-along concert with Annie Patterson & Peter Blood, the creators of Rise Up Singing, celebrates the release of their long-awaited 2nd songbook Rise Again! - joined by a number of terific artists with songs in the new book.
This concert has 2 separately ticketed shows:
- 4 - 5:15pm - MATINEE (family oriented) concert with Annie & Peter, Tom Chapin, Kim & Reggie Harris, and Two of a Kind.
- 7 - 10pm - EVENING CONCERT (separately ticketed) with Annie & Peter, Tom Chapin, John Flynn, Kim & Reggie Harris, and Charlie King
ONLINE TICKET SALES HAVE CLOSED BUT THERE ARE PLENTY OF TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR THE 7PM SHOW AT THE DOOR. Adult main floor $25, Balcony $15, Under 18 $10.
There will be a potluck meal beginning around 5:30 pm in the Fellowship Room of the Meetinghouse for anyone wanting to attend both concerts or come early for the evening. Bring what you can!
This concert is a benefit for Quaker programs addressing racism. The funds will go to Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting, to be distributed by the meeting's Committee on Racial Healing & Wholeness to several different programs that Philadelphia-area Friends are carrying out to help combat racism. More details will be provided at the concert about these programs.
SONGBOOKS: Songbooks will also be available to borrow or buy the evening of the concert.
PLEASE NOTE: All tickets sold online for this concerts are "will call". Once you order tickets (and songbooks to pick up at the concert is you choose to do this), you receive an immediate email confirmation. Please print out that email and bring it with you to the concert. (Our website asks for "shipping information" automatically for all sales, but no physical tickets are mailed out.)
When you arrive at the concert, go to the "will call" table when you arrive. That table will have a printout listing all those who ordered tickets online.There will be a separate table where you can pick up songbooks if you purchased these in advance. We suggest people arrive early, to make sure you get through the line in plenty of time and get good seats. Doors will open an hour before the concert. Note: If you did not get an email confirmation or lost it, your name will still be on the list (printout) at the door.
ABILITY TO PAY: Tickets at the door will be on a "suggested donation" basis. No one will be turned away because of inability to pay the full amount suggested. Donations entered at checkout will go towards this particular concert and the projects it is supporting - as well as to help others with less resources attend.
