Walela is a Native American trio, named for the Cherokee word for hummingbird. The group formed in 1996 & is comprised of Rita & Priscilla Coolidge along with Priscilla's daughter, Laura Satterfield.
The group won the Native American Music Awards' best debut group and song of the year for 1998.
