Frey is a singer & activist based in Vienna. She was raised in a secular Jewish family. After a year living on a kibbutz in Israel she recognized that her identity was as a Jew in the diaspora.
Since being introduced to revolutionary Yiddish song, she recognized that this is her passion. She now sings these songs both in concert & at political events. She is also a student in ethnomusicology at the University of Music & Performing Arts Vienna.
