Dave Carter
Carter (1952-2002) was an American folk singer & widely acclaimed songwriter.
Carter died in July 2002 at the age of 49 of a massive heart attack. He was scheduled to play with Tracy Grammer at the Green River Festival that weekend and at many other folk festivals around the country.
He had revealed to his musical partner Traci Grammer that he had gender dysphoria and was planning to transition to being female in the not distant future.
