Davison is an English Quaker lyricst. He has collaborated with an English Quaker composer Tony Biggin on a number of oratorio, the most well known of which is The Gates of Greenham, which was inspired by the women's encampment at Greenham Common, a peace encampment protesting against cruise missles loaded with nuclear bombs.
