Layout of Songs

Rise Up Singing utilizes a unique system that allows 4-5 songs to be included on every page. Chords appear under each stanza for the verse or chorus above. Choruses and refrain lines are boldfaced. The system includes everything you need (in terms of lyrics & chords but no melodies except in the Rounds chapter) to play or sing along with the song.

Detailed instructions are provided in the introduction for using this system. Hundreds of thousands of lay musicians have been using this way of laying out songs with success: it has stood the test of time over the 30 years since the book came out!
