Incredible String Band was a British "psychedelic folk band" formed in 1966 in Edinburgh by Robin Williamson, Michael Herron & Clive Parsley. The band broke up in 1974 (reforming from 1999 to 2006 with changing lineups). They were pioneers integrating a wide variety of traditional music forms and instruments, influencing the development of world music.
